A Place For People, A Centre For All

Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre is a dynamic, community-based organisation operating for the benefit of people living in the Orbiston and Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire. Our vision is of a thriving, inclusive community where people live, work and play in harmony. Principal services are Childcare, Elderly Care, Community Cafe, Food Coop, Computer Learning, Befriending and Volunteering. In addition to this we also provide meeting space for other groups and activities.

August Update - What’s On In ONC!

Orbiston Childcare Service has Before and After School places available. The Service has a Level 4 Care Commission grading and caters for all Bellshill and Mossend schools. To register for your places phone 01698 842215, email oosc@oncbellshill.org or visit the Centre in person.

All activity groups are back on after their summer breaks. Crafty Crafts, Men's Group, Health & Wellness Hub, Musical Memories, Digital Support, Fool On, Keep Fit, Yoga, Walking Group offer day-time activities. Dance classes run every day except Friday. Theo's Cafe opens 9.30am to 3.00pm for breakfast, lunch & snacks. Contact 01698 842215 to check other times.

Members of the public are invited to Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre’s AGM Friday 30th August to find out what goes on in ONC and how to get involved. Entry begins 1.00pm with the main proceedings starting 1.30pm.

History Of The ONC

The company was established in 1993 by a group of local people from two Church of Scotland congregations. The Orbiston Neighbourhood Centre was opened in 1995 to provide a base for services and initiatives seeking to address problems of social exclusion and deprivation in the Bellshill community.
